Android uses mipmap folders for launcher icons: mdpi (48×48), hdpi (72×72), xhdpi (96×96), xxhdpi (144×144), xxxhdpi (192×192). Providing all of them ensures your icon looks crisp on every device density.
Why multiple sizes?
Different screen densities need different pixel dimensions for the same logical size. One 192×192 asset in xxxhdpi is used for high-density phones; lower densities use the smaller assets. Missing a density can cause blurry or scaled icons.
Round icons
Many launchers show a circular icon. Android supports a separate round icon asset. Generate both standard and round from one image with a tool that outputs the correct mipmap structure—then drop the folders into your Android project.
